Primehotels is changing its strategy under the current market conditions

After the corona pandemic started during spring 2020 and the war in Ukraine afterwards have these crises together had an extensive effect on the profitability and growth opportunities for the entire accommodation and restaurant industry. The impacts have also been clearly seen in the hotel market of Helsinki, which has changed significantly and still has not recovered to the level before the crisis.

Primehotels adapts its operations to the existing market situation and invests in strengthening and profitability its current business operations in the future. Positive business development has been particularly seen in the events and leisure segments. A good sign of this was the recent reward Hotel AX received as Finland’s Leading Design Hotel in the World Travel Awards and selection of Hotel Sveitsi as Finland’s Leading Resort for the fourth time already.

As part of implementing its new strategy, Primehotels has withdrawn from the Grand Hansa Hotel Hyatt project. The project started in 2019, when Primehotels was chosen for hotel operator by the property owner. The contract has now been terminated by mutual agreement between the parties.

In line with this strategy, Primehotels is focusing on organic growth and profitable business in terms of current market situation, through its portfolio of unique hotels in Helsinki, Hyvinkää, Savonlinna and Varkaus.
